Description
SELFIELAB is a self-portrait studio in Vancouver that was co-founded in 2023—a private space where people photograph themselves with professional lighting, a mirror, and a remote. Worked alongside my partner on the concept, brand, and experience design: everything from the studio itself to how a session feels from booking to delivery.

Challenge
The concept barely existed in the market—most people had never heard of a self-portrait studio, let alone paid for one. We had to explain a new behaviour and sell it at the same time, with no playbook to copy. We went from zero to our first paying customers in under a month, then kept refining the experience until it ran on word of mouth.
Conclusion
Today SELFIELAB holds a 5.0 rating across nearly 300 reviews, serves everyone from families and couples to small business teams, and has grown beyond the studio into mobile event experiences and corporate clients. It's proof of what the rest of my work is built on: that a thoughtfully designed experience is a brand's strongest marketing.
